Machines - C.A.T Fuel Tool
The Symptoms:
Cold-Start Problems
Hesitation and misfires
Loss of power
Lower fuel economy
Knocking run-on
A rough idle
The Remedy:
Clean harmful fuel deposits from the fuel injectors
Remove gum and varnish deposits from the entire fuel
induction system as well as the throttle body, plenum and air intake system
Clean carbon deposits from the intake valves
Why this service is Important?
The main cause of
drivability problems in today’s cars is the buildup of soft carbon and varnish
deposits. A standard tune-up does not
correct this. Soft carbon is a byproduct
of burning unleaded gasoline.
As deposits build
in the combustion chamber and on the intake valves, there can be an increase in
problems with cold starts, knocking and run-on.
This is due to altered compression ratios and interference with
clearances inside the chambers
Drivability
problems such as hesitation, misfires and loss of power can result from deposit
buildup on the fuel injectors. These deposits can interrupt the correct
flow-pattern of fuel, leading to problems with the fuel-to-air
mixture.
